HEADLINES | | | Travel Team Commitment - Next Steps by
posted 05/09/2013 The rosters were recently posted for the 2013/14 travel teams.
In order to secure your roster spot, you will need to make the initial deposit payment of $500 by May 22, 2013. Along with the payment, you will also be committing to playing on the assigned team for the 2013/14 season. Please read the commitment language to be familiar with what this means. In addition, there will be monthly payments due, ending with a final payment on September 30, 2013. The payment schedule is outlined on the web site.
To make your payment, you will need to log into your account using the email address that you used to register for tryouts. That should also be the same email address that this message was sent to. Visit www.northwesternhockey.com and choose "Edit My Account" from the bottom of the left menu. Your child will be listed as registered with the assigned team. Choose the Pay Now button to proceed with the initial payment.
Roster spots can be lost if not secured with the initial deposit by May 22, 2013. If you do not intend to accept the roster spot, please let me know.Back to top | | | Expansion of Goaltender Development Program Overview by
posted 04/02/2013 Northwestern Hockey is proud to announce the expansion of our highly successful goalie development program. Starting with the upcoming 2013/14 season, the number of professionally instructed in-season goalie clinics will be increased from 4 to 6. These clinics will be available to all full-time travel goalies free of charge. Also, in order to attract and retain the best goalie talent in the area, there will be NO TRYOUT FEES for any full-time goalie that wishes to attend our tryouts. Finally, all full-time Travel goaltenders for the Squirt, Peewee and Bantam teams (max 2 goalies per team) will receive a 50% DISCOUNT OFF THE SEASON FEES. We are excited to be able to continue to foster the growth and development of both our players and goalies, encouraging them to be the best they can be both on and off the ice. posted 02/19/2013
| | Congratulations to the Mite B's! | | | Our congratulations go out to the NWCYH Mite B team who won 2nd place in the 2013 CHC Mite Founders Division State Tournament (Feb 13-17 in Enfield, CT). The team won all three of their games in group play (vs. Northeast Mite C, ECHO Mite B, Wallingford Mite B) and entered the elimination round as the No.1 seed. They beat Western Mite B in the semi-finals for a fourth straight win. Despite a terrific effort, the team came up short in the championship game. Hats off to our fantastic Mite B’s! posted 12/28/2011 NWCYH Families:
We‘d like to make sure you are aware of the CHC initiative, GottaLoveCTHockey, a new venture that puts a friendly face on youth hockey in CT. Each week two CHC programs are highlighted and players, coaches, parents and fans are interviewed. Episodes are released weekly on Wednesday, and usually are 5-6 minutes long.
We’d like to encourage all players and parents to check out GottaLoveCTHockey (www.gottalovecthockey.org). Information is available on the website about signing up for the weekly emails, as well as other great information about hockey in CT. GottaLoveCTHockey can also be found on Facebook (gotta love ct hockey) and Twitter (GottaLoveCTHcky).
For a great description of the initiative click here.
Thank you,
